
Last August, Free League Publishing announced Lord of the Rings RPG. This book is a D&D 5e adaptation of the award-winning Middle-earth TTRPG from the publisher, the one ring. In addition, this adaptation will be supervised by the one ring lead designers, Francesco Nepitello and Marco Maggi, whose work includes various supplements such as Tales from the lonely lands and Lost Kingdom Ruins. Fortunately, fantasy fans won’t have to wait long as this adaptation has a release date.
The Lord of the Rings RPG Release Date
According to an official press release from Free League Publishing, Lord of the Rings RPG It will be officially released on May 9. This release will include the 236-page core rulebook, containing new rules for magic, player options including new Eriador hero cultures, and terrifying adversaries. Plus, there’s Shire Adventures. This is a 104 page book that goes into detail about the Shire. Contains seven pre-generated characters. including the famous Bagginses, Brandybucks and Tuks, as well as five pre-scripted adventures. For those familiar with The starter set of a ringthis book is a direct adaptation of that set to D&D 5e. Finally, there’s the Loremaster screen, which includes a compendium on Rivendell. The compendium also contains a map of both the valley and the house of Elrond.
Lord of the Rings RPG is available for book right now on the Free League website. The Core Rulebook has an MSRP of $49. Shire Adventures sells for an MSRP of $39. The Loremaster’s Screen and Rivendell compendium will cost $29. Finally, there’s a bundle that includes all of these books for $99.
