Today Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts announced a new update for the PC version of Star Wars. Jedi: Survivor.

The update will be released today and will also be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S soon, though a release date for the console version has not been revealed and will be announced in due course. The PC version, on the other hand, is getting a long-awaited optimization to improve performance.

  • (PC only) Improved content caching to reduce hitch.
  • (PC only) Improved thread handling when ray tracing is disabled.
  • (PC only) Fixed an issue where lowering PC visual settings would incorrectly lower resolution scaling if FSR is disabled.
    • Note: if you previously disabled FSR and are playing with lower visual quality, you may want to readjust your quality settings.
  • (PC only) Fix for an unresponsive reset button on PC when using the controller and keyboard.
  • Various performance fixes.
  • Stability improvements.
  • More robust detection of pre-orders and in-game deluxe content, preventing players from only having random access to content.
  • Various collision and navigation improvements to prevent issues where characters go out of bounds.
  • Fixed an issue where Drya Thornne would become invincible.
  • Music related fixes
  • Fixed an issue where Bode would not grab the Senator during some New Game+ matches.
  • Fixed a bug where Skriton would not spawn correctly.
  • Fixed Dagan not spawning correctly in a cutscene.
  • Fixed some rare cases where players were unable to progress further in the game even after reloading.
  • Fixed a bug where the Gorocco would disappear in the middle of combat.
  • Fixed an issue where Cal would get stuck in a specific Blaster state if he died while in it.
  • Fixed a bug where BD-1 couldn’t open a door.
  • Fix for empty tear interactions not working properly.
  • Fix for trying to load corrupted savegames that sometimes leave you at the main menu. It will now attempt to successfully load the saved backup.
  • Improved UX for Koboh’s materia turrets that players were previously unable to exit from.
  • Fixed issue where Rancor and Wampa would not properly drop Cal’s XP when he respawns.
  • Fixed a bug where the Skills menu would not close properly.
  • Improved sound synchronization during one of the cutscenes.
  • Fix for environment not loading correctly on Koboh after Cal respawns.

The developer mentions that more updates are coming across all platforms, so if this one doesn’t fix a specific issue you’re suffering from, help is likely on the way.
