The Pokémon Company has announced that an update will be heading to scarlet and violet pokemon in February, and promising bug fixes are on the agenda.
In addition to the fixes, we also hear that the patch will “add functionality” and that it will be released at the end of February.
it’s not a secret that scarlet and violet it needs a bit of work, due to the seemingly endless list of bugs fans have encountered since its release. From players being thrown off a cliff to being forced under the map with no escape in sight, there have been plenty of technical issues causing angst. Of course, some of the known bugs weren’t all bad in and of themselves, such as one that allowed players to duplicate their Legendary Pokémon infinitely with the use of the storage container. Even so, fans have been begging the developers to fix it ever since they met.
With all the known bugs and issues that players have been facing with the game, it seems like people still can’t get enough of catching their favorite iconic creatures. Having sold 10 million copies in its first three days, it’s clear the franchise is loved regardless of the game’s drawbacks. Nintendo had previously stated that it takes feedback provided by players very seriously, so expect great things from this upcoming update.
It’s worth noting that as of now, the press release does not give any information on what exactly will be patched in the 1.2.0 update version, but it can be expected to at least cover most of the issues found so far. There is no set date for the patch at the time of writing this article; all we know is that the developers say more details will be released “soon”
