Today, publisher Anchor and developer NextNinja released another trailer for the upcoming muv-luv mobile game Muv-Luv Dimensions.
This time we can see another character, Takatsugu Ikaruga, who appears in Muv-Luv Alternative and Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After. We get to see his character design and hear from his new voice actor, Hiromu Mineta, who debuted in the role with the recent Muv-Luv Alternative anime series. You may know him for playing Cestus in the anime of the same name and Rui Kashiragi in Futsal Boys.
The trailer also shows a glimpse of his gameplay at the controls of his blue Takemikazuchi Type-00R, emblematic of his position as a member of the Five Ruling Houses commanding an Imperial Guard battalion. You can review it below.

If you are not familiar with Muv-Luv Dimensionsis a free mobile game for iOS and Android based on the popular muv-luv Visual novel series. It was originally released last year as muv-luv immortals, but he was hit with major troubles and immediately withdrew. Publisher anCHOR decided to completely overhaul the game by bringing in experienced mobile developer NextNinja, who is now preparing for a full relaunch.
If you want to see more, we recently saw character trailers for Mana Tsukuyomi, Marimo Jinguuji, Ilfriede von Feulner, and Yui Takamura. For now, the game has been announced for Japan only. But hopefully anCHOR and NextNinja will also release it in English later on.
The franchise is widely considered to be one of the best (if not the best) visual novel series of all time and one of the first isekai stories to make a splash in Japanese pop culture back when the genre was not as saturated as it is now. It mixes a tragic and romantic story with one of the best and deepest sci-fi worlds ever written. It is so influential that attack on titan mangaka Hajime Isayama cited it several times as one of his main sources of inspiration. +
Most muv-luv The visual novels are currently available in English. on Steam (while muv-luv and Muv-Luv Alternative have also been released on PS Vita) alongside the early access action game Project MIKHAIL: A Muv-Luv War Story.
Recently, we also saw the release of volume 2 of the Regenerative Muv-Luv magazine on Steam, delving into the world of the franchise, while some fancy plastic model kits have been announced.
