
Today Anchor and NextNinja announced that their upcoming Muv-Luv mobile game, Muv-Luv Dimensions, has passed a pre-registration milestone.
The game has now surpassed 100,000 pre-registrations, which means that a collaboration with the beloved visual novel Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (which can be considered a kind of prequel to muv-luv and will get a new all-ages version soon pending the success of a crowdfunding campaign) has been unlocked.
The pre-registration campaign and the rewards were announced a couple of weeks ago until reaching 500,000 pre-registrations. You can pre-register for iOS and Android to help unlock the remaining rewards.
If you do not know Muv-Luv Dimensionsis a free mobile game for iOS and Android based on the popular muv-luv Visual novel series. It was originally released last year as muv-luv immortals, but he was hit with major troubles and immediately withdrew. Publisher anCHOR decided to completely overhaul the game by bringing in experienced mobile developer NextNinja, who is now preparing for a full relaunch.

For now, the game has been announced for Japan only. But hopefully anCHOR and NextNinja will also release it in English later on.
The franchise is widely considered one of the best (if not the best) visual novel series of all time (even the new Bing’s AI agrees, though it obviously can’t top PTSD) and one of the early isekai stories that made waves within Japanese pop culture when the genre wasn’t as oversaturated as it is now. It mixes a tragic and romantic story with one of the best and deepest sci-fi worlds ever written. It is so influential that attack on titan mangaka Hajime Isayama cited it several times as one of his main sources of inspiration.
Most muv-luv The visual novels are currently available in English. on Steam (while muv-luv and Muv-Luv Alternative have also been released on PS Vita) alongside the early access action game Project MIKHAIL: A Muv-Luv War Story.
