Today third party developers posted new screenshots about upcoming Aircraft and Airport Addons for Microsoft flight simulator.
We start with another look at Aerosoft’s Airbus A330, which has received new images from the project manager. Mathijs Kok and beta tester BlackLiverieZshowing a couple of different liveries and a detail of the flight deck.
we stay with airsoft for a new image of Oslo Gardermoen Airport (ENGM) serving the capital of Norway. As usual, the level of quality displayed by developer Jo Erlend Sund is pretty crazy.
We also got an update on the Boeing 757 by bluebird simulationsshowing the flight deck and giving information about what we can expect in the future.
In a few weeks, we’ll show more previews of our updated VC. Here’s a sneak peek, but I’ve hidden it on purpose. We are constantly working on improvements and optimizations. This is still a lot of WIP, but a lot of progress has been made. Just to give you an idea, the VC has over 1200 animations including switches, dials, knob buttons, etc. Not all of them are functional, but that will change over time. It includes more than 70 sets of textures compared to 20 in the previous version. You will have the option to choose between 2k and 4k textures. Even at 2k, the textures look much better than our previous VC and at 4k, it’s absolutely stunning. Also, a few more performance improvements have been made to the code in addition to our latest performance update. You may also notice Capt. and FO decoupled. For those still wondering about sounds, we expect to begin custom sound implementations in about a month. More updates to follow.
We then moved on to Orbx, which showed off a new teaser video from Melbourne Airport (YMML) in Australia, showing the ATC tower area.
Something big is on the horizon! Get prepared! YMML Tullamarine Airport is coming to MSFS, bringing the vibrant spirit of Melbourne to your simulator! Get ready to embark on exciting virtual journeys from this iconic airport. 🛫🇦🇺#YMMLTullamarine #MSFS #FlightSimulation pic.twitter.com/C3EEazyGfI
