
Sony has released a new behind-the-scenes look at the production for the upcoming Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC. “Meet Seyka” takes us into the world of motion capture, giving us a look at how actress Kylie Liya Page plays Aloy’s new partner and what it’s like to act opposite leading lady Ashly Burch.
In the video, we hear from various Guerrilla Games staff, as well as Page and Burch. Burch describes Seyka as Aloy’s “match”; While Aloy is used to being a capable and in-control warrior, she will have to trust Seyka if she is to make it out of Burning Shores alive.
Meanwhile, Page describes herself as “beyond blessed and grateful” for the opportunity to join the Horizon franchise. burning shores it served as Page’s first motion capture role, and she says the experience was “intimidating”, forcing her out of her comfort zone. Despite that, once Page “found (the) freedom” to work in motion capture, she says she enjoyed the experience.

Horizon Narrative director Ben McCaw says that Page’s “vulnerability” combined with her strength and independence led him and Guerrilla to cast her as Seyka. McCaw also says that “new mysteries” are the key to bringing something new to Horizonin addition to interconnecting those mysteries with the character of Aloy and new discoveries about herself.
The full video is worth watching as it shows some fun behind-the-scenes footage with Burch and Page performing opposite each other, as well as glimpses into the process when it comes to translating those performances into burning shores. Both Burch and Page also talk about the benefits of working together, as well as what their characters and burning shores as a whole lead to the Horizon franchise.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores releases on April 19. Although the base game is available on both PS4 and PS5, the DLC is exclusive to PS5.
