Today, Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse revealed the final closed beta version of its upcoming sci-fi RPG Honkai: Star Rail.
The final phase of closed beta testing will begin on February 10 for PC, iOS, and Android, and registrations are now available at the official site. It will give prospective players the chance to experience new characters, areas, and features.
If you’re familiar with Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail comes with similar visuals and a similar focus on characters, but it’s actually a turn-based RPG, making for a completely different experience from ultra online action RPG. popular on HoYoverse.
This is how the developer describes the game world.
“In this universe, there are the (Aeons), embodiments of universal principles who can freely travel between infinite worlds using some kind of primal force. The galaxy is replete with varied worlds that have unique landscapes and histories; the (Aeons) roaming the universe defend their own beliefs.The protagonist, who has been implanted with a (Stellaron), embarks on a journey aboard the Astral Express with a group of passengers who claim to have inherited the spirit of (the Trailblaze). Aeons) to explore the realms of the universe”.
The press release also outlines what we can specifically expect from the final closed beta, including the beginning of the story on the space station Herta followed by the ability to explore Jarilo-VI and Xianzhou Luofu, two relevant locations with diverse cultures and landscapes. : Jarilo-VI is a polar planet, while Xianzhou Luofu (shown for the first time) is a huge battleship belonging to the Xianzhou Alliance, one of the most powerful factions in the game universe. It features an impressive urban landscape inspired by oriental fantasy.
