Today, Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse released a new trailer for the upcoming character that will soon debut in the game’s gacha.
The new character is Kirara, a Nekomata who works as a delivery girl. She is a four star Dendro item character and she is actually the only new one to be introduced in the upcoming 3.7 update cycle on May 24th.
She is voiced by Julia Gu in English and Sayumi Suzushiro in Japanese. You may know her as Cassandra Cappelli in Ryza Workshopkyrie in The magnificent Kotobukiand Akira Ono in Hello Score Girl.
You can watch the trailer in English below or the japanese version on the official YouTube channel.
This is how she is officially described:
Up hill and valley, by starlight and moonlight, the soft pattering of Kirara’s paws never ceases. The breathtaking scenery that she passes through and the smiles of her clients are what she truly treasures in her work. Of course, if there are any problems along the way, it’s best to just fix it. After all, cats need to keep their claws sharp.
If you are not familiar with genshin impact, is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android and at the moment the game is still on version 3.6. A Nintendo Switch version was announced a long time ago, but HoYoverse fell under the radar and hasn’t said anything since, despite confirming multiple times that it wasn’t cancelled. We will have to wait and see if 2023 will finally be the year of Genshin on the Nintendo console.
