Paradox and Double Eleven have released the final version prison architect update. After this patch, the game will be closed, although Paradox says that “while we are closing this chapter, the book is not finished yet.” True to form, a small detail in a new gameplay trailer could hint at things to come.
Former prison architect Updates and DLC have introduced wacky elements like jungles, brain-eating zombies, and futuristic sci-fi, but despite its momentous nature, the Sunset update is a bit less dramatic than those. It mainly focuses on adding quality of life upgrades, which makes it a bit easier to manage your prisons.
QOL’s first major upgrade is Capacitor 2.0, which is an upgraded capacitor that allows it to produce twice the power of its power plants. New variants of colored remote doors have been added and the speed of riot vans has been increased.
