
Square Enix today hosted the 76th Producer Live Charter dedicated to final fantasy XIVintroducing the next major update.
As usual, the information was provided in twitch by producer/director Naoki Yoshida and global community producer Toshio Murouchi. At the beginning of the live broadcast, we also received a farewell from former CEO Yosuke Matsuda, who was very active in supporting Final Fantasy XIV, including participating in a variety of events.
New CEO Takashi Kiryu also made an appearance, showing just how relevant final fantasy XIV It’s for Square Enix. Interestingly, we learn that he actually bought one of the limited edition Fender guitars dedicated to the game. He actively plays the game together with his wife.
First, we take a look at what’s coming with update 6.38, which is coming on April 4, 2023.
Moving on to the 6.4 update, it will be titled “The Dark Throne” and will be released at the end of May.
It will include new main scenario missions and you can see some screenshots below.
We are also getting a new chapter of Tataru’s Grand Endeavor missions.
Update 6.45 will bring more quests for the Somehow more adventurers by Hildibrand string, of which we see a screenshot below.
He More Manderville Guns questchain will also get a new chapter, along with the splendorous tools quests for crafters and gatherers. These will also come at 6.45.
Returning to 6.4, comes the inevitable new dungeon, called the ethereal front.
New tests are coming the dais of emptiness and its extreme version, starring Golbez. the new Unreal Trial will be Z1T9 containment bay.
A new raid is coming Pandemonium: Anabaseios, along with its Savage version. As usual, the wild version will be released a week after the 6.4 update.
Patch 6.45 will also bring the second Variant & Criterion Dungeon, Mount Rokkon. It will have three levels of difficulty, Normal, Criterion and Criterion (Wild). It will not be necessary to complete Sil’dihn Subterrane to unlock it.
Service support will be added to dungeons included in the stormy blood expansion as follows.
We’re getting new job tweaks for PvE and updated for PvP, including PvP Series 4 and Crystalline Conflict Season 7. Frontline will also be adjusted with new UI elements showing match time and score, and changed rules for The Fields of Glory (Shatter). The Borderlands Ruin (Secure) will be temporarily unavailable.
Update 6.45 will also bring an update to Blue Mage. The level cap will be raised from 70 to 80, new spells and equipment will be added, along with new enemies for the masked carnival.
Ocean fishing is updated with a new route to Kugane. You can see a couple of screenshots below that show a new perspective on the city.
The Island Sanctuary feature is also being updated, including new sanctuary ranks and visions, a new wilderness gathering area, new hideout building plots, new item rewards, new materials, craftable items, crops, animals and isleworks crafts.
New structures will also be added along with support for outdoor furniture added to the hideout. Players will have up to 90 unlockable slots through Island Sanctuary progress to place furniture near their structures. That being said, special furniture like flashy mannequins and gardens will not be available for this feature.
Several updates include the addition of the Allagan Tomestones of Comedy as the new main token. The maximum number of gear sets will increase to 100 and they will be unlocked by default, eliminating the need to unlock them by unlocking new jobs.
A UI change will show a job icon in the chat log and on player dog tags.
The transaction fee for market sales will be incorporated into the total price.
The glasses and fashion accessories of the wings will be displayed when you are in battle in the overworld. More improvements to fashion items will be implemented in the future.
Speaking of fashion, items stored in a variety of locations will be selectable by casting spells in an inn room. Scholars are getting fairy glam from Eos, Selene, and Carbuncle.
