Square Enix today announced a release window for its upcoming action JRPG. Dragon Quest: Dai’s Adventure – Infinity Strash.
According to an update from the Japanese official website, the game will be released in the fall of 2023 for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. Even though the announcement has been made on the Japanese site, it clearly indicates that the launch will be worldwide.
If you are not familiar with Dragon Quest: Dai’s Adventure – Infinity Strashit was originally revealed in 2020 with an initial release window of 2021. That didn’t happen, and Square Enix continued to provide scant information until we heard it was coming worldwide at Tokyo Game Show 2022. Now we finally have a better idea of when.
The game is an action JRPG that promises a story mode that follows the anime series and a rogue-like “Original Dungeon: Temple of Memory”, which allows you to fight increasingly powerful monsters in an environment procedural.
Dragon Quest: Dai’s Adventure debuted in Weekly Shounen Jump in 1989 as a manga written by Riku Sanjo and illustrated by Koji Inada, based on Yuji Horii’s popular JRPG series. It then received a series of theatrical movies and an anime between 1991 and 1992 that cemented its popularity. More manga followed until a massive new 100-episode anime series brought the franchise back into the spotlight between 2020 and 2022.
