Today, Square Enix released a large number of gameplay videos dedicated to showcasing the mobile game features. Dragon Quest Champions.
The videos start at the very beginning, showing how you can create and customize your character, then continue with the gacha that allows you to collect powerful weapons and the equipment screen that you can equip yourself with for battle.
We then get to watch various videos about the jobs beginning with an introductory clip showing how you can switch at any time. We then watch videos about the Warrior, the Priest, the Martial Artist, the Magician, and the Thief.
The following videos show the mechanics of the game, which basically combines a turn-based JRPG with a battle royale game. You can even choose where you will land at the beginning (from a ship instead of the usual plane we have in BR games) and you must avoid getting caught in the ever narrowing circle of miasma.
We encourage you to pry into ongoing duels and even attack unsuspecting enemies from behind, as you’d expect in a bizarre turn-based version of your usual PUBG or Fortnite.
You can check out the first video below and I put the rest together on this playlist for your reading.

Dragon Quest Championswhich was announced a few weeks ago for iOS and Android, is set to launch in Japan and a closed beta started today.
At the moment, there is no information from Square Enix’s western arms on whether it will be localized for North America and Europe. We’ll have to wait and see, but the publisher has been quite active in localizing its mobile games lately.
